Conditions of Insurance

The exclusions under the Rider are subject to the terms and conditions specified in the insurance policy issued by the Company to the policyholder. The exclusions listed in this document are only a summary of certain policy exclusions. Examples include:

  1. Suicide, attempted suicide, or self-inflicted injury.
  2. While the policyholder is committing a criminal offense, under arrest, or attempting to evade arrest.
  3. Any act committed by the policyholder while under the influence of alcohol, narcotics, or addictive substances to the extent of being incapable of exercising self-control. For the purpose of this exclusion, "under the influence of alcohol" means having a blood alcohol concentration (BAC) of 150 mg% (150 milligrams per 100 milliliters of blood) or higher, where a blood test has been conducted.
  4. Infection by germs or parasites, except for infections, tetanus, or rabies directly resulting from an accidental wound.
  5. While the policyholder is participating in, or provoking, a fight.

Q: What is the eligible entry age for the Special Accident Rider?
A: The Special Accident Rider is available to individuals aged 50 to 75 years.

Q: What premium payment modes are available for the Special Accident Rider?
A: Premiums may be paid annually, semi-annually, quarterly, or monthly. The premium payment mode must be the same as that of the attached Basic Policy.

Q: How many coverage plans are available under the Special Accident Rider?
A: Three coverage plans are available: Plan 250,000 / Plan 400,000 / Plan 600,000

Q: If the Company has paid 100% of the Sum Assured for Dismemberment, Loss of Sight, Loss of Hearing, Loss of Speech, or Total and Permanent Disability, and the insured subsequently dies as a result of an accident, will the Special Accident Rider remain in force?
A: No. The Special Accident Rider will terminate immediately once the Company has paid the full Sum Assured for Dismemberment, Loss of Sight, Loss of Hearing, Loss of Speech, or Total and Permanent Disability.

Q: Is a Health Declaration or Medical Examination required when applying for the Special Accident Rider?
A: No. Neither a Health Declaration nor a Medical Examination is required.

  • Special Accident is the marketing name of the Special Accident Rider.
  • Underwriting is subject to the Company’s terms and conditions.
  • Coverage and the payment of benefits shall be in accordance with the conditions specified in the policy.
  • The supplementary contract / endorsement has a coverage period of 1 year. The insured may request to renew the supplementary contract / endorsement under the terms of the supplementary contract. For renewal years, premiums may change depending on age, occupation class, and other terms and criteria of the Company.
  • The insured who wishes to claim health insurance premiums as a personal income tax deduction must notify the Company of their intention and provide consent for the Company to submit premium information to the Revenue Department.
  • This is only basic information. An insured should read aware of coverage condition, benefits, and exclusions of an insurance policy.
